Consultation of Emma Street

Welcome to the Consultation website for the future of Containerville Emma Street

About

Since it was established in 2018, Containerville Emma Street has hosted and supported over 110 fully functioning, converted modern business units, providing a home and vital support for local businesses and start-ups.

Combined with the original Containerville site at Corbridge Crescent, the two together have hosted over 200 businesses in one or more workspaces. These businesses employ over 600 people and make an enormous contribution to the local economy. Containerville is a proven destination that offers flexible collective workspace, where tenants can collaborate and take part in a community of budding entrepreneurs.

Following this initial success, Containerville is seeking permanent planning permission. We will be submitting a planning application to the London Borough of Tower Hamlets to achieve this.

Containerville understands that small businesses are the lifeblood of the economy and are champions of real genuine businesses that enable people to support themselves and their families with dignity and pride.

If approved by Tower Hamlets Council, we will continue to help small businesses and start-ups thrive by providing affordable and user-friendly business space while supporting a local community and delivering environmental benefits.
